Your follow-up visits
Your osteopath will review your progress at each subsequent visit. It may require more than one visit before your problem is resolved or before you start seeing an improvement to your condition. Each subsequent visit will consist of a short consultation to review your progress and keep your records up-to-date, a short examination and longer treatment will typically be carried out.
You may be given stretches, exercises to do or may be advised to carry out some simple lifestyle changes such as re-setting your workstation, adjusting your car seat correctly or replacing your mattress.
It is important that you follow your osteopath's advice: what you do or don't do outside the treatment room is key to your recovery.
